About this password generator

This tool creates random passwords entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API, which is designed for cryptographically secure randomness. No password you generate here is ever transmitted, logged, or stored anywhere — closing or refreshing the page clears it completely.

A strong password is typically at least 12–16 characters long and mixes uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid reusing the same password across multiple accounts, and consider a password manager to store the ones you generate here.

Exclude ambiguous characters removes characters that are easy to misread or mistype, like the letter l and the number 1. Exclude similar / duplicate characters ensures no character appears more than once in the generated password.
