This tool spells out any number in words, right in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server. It is handy for writing cheques, invoices, legal documents and forms where the amount must appear in words as well as digits.
Indian vs International: the Indian system groups digits as lakh and crore (1,00,000 is One Lakh), while the International system uses million and billion (1,000,000 is One Million). Currency mode adds Rupees and Paise or Dollars and Cents and ends with "Only", the usual format on cheques. Ordinal mode turns 21 into "Twenty First". Decimals are read digit by digit, so 3.14 becomes "Three Point One Four".
