Enter a new width and this tool scales your image down to match, working out the height automatically so the aspect ratio stays the same. It supports JPEG, PNG and WebP, and lets you set the output quality to balance sharpness against file size.
Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Your image is never uploaded, sent to a server or stored, so it is safe to use with private photos and documents.
- The new width must be smaller than the original. This tool only shrinks images, since enlarging one makes it blurry.
- Smaller dimensions usually mean much smaller files, which helps with email attachments, uploads and faster page loads.
- Choose JPEG or WebP for photos. PNG is better for screenshots and graphics, but the quality slider has no effect on it.
