About this EXIF data remover

Every photo your phone or camera saves carries invisible metadata alongside the picture — the camera model, the exact date and time, sometimes even the GPS coordinates of where it was taken. This tool strips all of that out, rebuilding each image pixel-for-pixel with no metadata attached, entirely inside your browser.

What gets removed

Camera make and model, timestamps, GPS location, and every other EXIF, IPTC and XMP tag. The image's orientation is read first and baked into the pixels, so cleaned photos still display right-side up.

Why it matters

GPS tags can reveal your home or workplace to anyone who downloads a photo you share online. Stripping metadata before posting keeps that information private.

Batch & convert

Drop up to five images at once, optionally convert them to JPEG, PNG or WebP, and download them individually or as a single ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Every image is read and rewritten locally in your browser. Nothing ever leaves your device.

Will this affect image quality?

Only if you convert format or lower the quality slider. Keeping the original format at a high quality setting produces a visually identical result with the metadata gone.

Does this rotate my photos incorrectly?

No. Orientation data is applied to the pixels before the metadata is dropped, so cleaned photos keep the correct orientation without relying on EXIF to display properly.
